True Blue Cuisine is a Peranakan Restaurant based in Singapore.
Project Year: 2019
True Blue Cuisine is a well known restaurant. It is the go-to restaurant of choice for VIPs visiting Singapore, notably South Korean President Moon Jae-In. It is also known to be one of the favourite restaurants of Ho Ching, wife of Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsein Loong.
While True Blue Cuisine gets plenty of word-of-mouth referrals, their lack of online presence was a great opportunity for further growth.
Originally coming on board to produce a video for their yearly skit, I eventually took them on as a rebranding client, delivering a fresh look for their website and a boost in their online presence.
True Blue’s Website was originally a barebones website with outdated design and poor usability.
The new website came with a fresh design, along with greater functionality and user friendliess.
The virtual tour gives website visitors a sneak peak into the interior of the restaurant and what they can expect from making a reservation here for their special event.
Beforehand, bookings and making reservations could only be done via phone call. By partnering with local booking platforms, Chope and Quandoo, we were able to use their API to have an online booking option on our website. On top of this, having our restaurant on their platform also meant more exposure to a new audience.
In the FnB industry, having an online menu is a crucial “want” for potential customers who wish to compare the menus of various restaurants before deciding on one.
Before making the menu available online, the Facebook page was flooded with messages asking to see the menu. Since adding a button on the Facebook page that linked to the online menu, such requests have been reduced to almost zero.
A photoshoot was organised to capture the space, as well as best-selling menu items.
Using preexisting artwork by a local artist commissioned by True Blue Cuisine, we digitalised the artwork and started using them as background art to add a uniquely peranakan style to our marketing materials.
Educational, share-worthy, social media content was created around Peranakan themes.
This video showcases the intricacies and ornamentation of the restaurant, highlighting features that guests can look forward to spotting in-person.
